In 1985, with six years of experience in the City Of Sarnia Forestry crew, Jim Bennett left full time employment to start a tree business in Petrolia, Ontario. At the time the most appropriate name for this business was Bennett Tree Service. Four years later the company's name was changed to City-Wide Tree Service & Stump Removal, and the business relocated to Sarnia, Ontario. Work progressed from not just home owners needs but also to the needs of general contractors, school boards, Sarnia Hydro, Bell Canada and even Ottawa's Great Ice Storm 1998. Although Jim still works with the company on a daily basis, it has been structured as a family business. We've eliminated the answering service to allow you to speak personally with a knowledgeable office manager 24 hours a day. Two of Jim's sons, Matt and Nic, are currently receiving training in tree care and maintenance, customer relations, estimating, supervising and all areas of running a business. In 2008 we have added professional lawn care and maintenance to our business. Our goal, as with our tree care, is to provide professional, prompt and quality service to our customers.
